In the Bible Prayer class at Faith Bible Institute, students will explore the biblical foundations and eternal significance of prayer as revealed throughout Scripture. This course examines prayer not merely as a religious practice, but as a vital means of communion with God that aligns the believer’s heart with heaven’s purposes. Students will study how prayer reflects God’s character—His holiness, justice, mercy, and faithfulness—and how it functions in the life of the believer both now and in eternity.
Through a careful study of biblical examples and teachings, this class will address the role of prayer in salvation, spiritual growth, intercession, repentance, and perseverance. Emphasis will be placed on how prayer shapes our understanding of life, death, and eternity, helping believers live with eternal awareness and dependence on God. Students will also examine how prayer connects the present life to eternal realities, strengthening faith and obedience in light of God’s eternal kingdom.
This course offers both theological depth and practical application, equipping students to develop a disciplined, Scripture-based prayer life and to minister to others with spiritual discernment, confidence, and compassion.
Matthew 25:46 (NIV):
“Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
